Erectile Dysfunction and GFR May Help Predict Coronary Artery Disease Risk

The presence of erectile dysfunction (ED) and reduced GFR was associated with single-vessel coronary artery disease in a recent study of 183 patients undergoing coronary angiography after a first acute myocardial infarction. In the Korean Journal of Urology study, 55% of patients had ED, and the ED rate was 45% in patients with single-vessel disease, 65% in patients with 2-vessel disease, and 66% in patients with 3-vessel disease.

In April 2015, the the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) was signed into law, repealing the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) physician payment system. In April of 2016, HHS Issued a Proposed Rule.  In October of 2016, CMS Issued a Final Rule. Below are some resources to help you understand more about MACRA.
