ASN Communities Year in Review 2019

ASN Communities are one of the most popular ASN member benefits used by clinicians, researchers, educators, fellows, and more. ASN Communities are one of the most popular ASN member benefits used by clinicians, researchers, educators, fellows, and more. Members are engaging with Communities by directly logging into the website or via the Communities App for Apple and Android. This year saw members utilizing Communities for more than just asking questions. During 2019:  


ASN Communities started almost four years ago. As ASN membership has grown, so too have the Communities grown. They have provided value and assistance to ASN members around the world from over 3,500 cities and 180 countries. Additionally, they have generated 1,500 unique conversations and just over 140,000 logins.  

Other key highlights from 2019 include:

  • The AKI Community was relaunched with new leadership providing interaction, direction, and support to important AKI issues.
  • A special Community was built and released just for the 2019 Kidney STARS participants so that they could more efficiently integrate into Kidney Week.
  • The complimentary Communities app was downloaded more than 2,000 times, helping members save time and receive support from their peers.
