By submitting an application to any of the above grants, candidates are considered for all Career Development Grant opportunities.
The William and Sandra Bennett Clinical Scholars Program allows applicants to improve their teaching skills by providing them with educational tools to facilitate their teaching and by financially supporting applicants in the completion of a scholarly project. Application proposals may address any aspect of nephrology education, either pre-doctoral or post-doctoral, such as curricular reform or innovations in education. The proposed project must have impact beyond the applicant’s own institution.
The Ben J. Lipps Research Fellowship Program supports up to ten new and ten continuing nephrology fellows for two years in conducting original, exemplary research under the guidance of a sponsor. This program consists of five Ben J. Lipps Research Fellows, one Donald E. Wesson Research Fellow, one Jared J. Grantham Research Fellow, one Sharon Anderson Research Fellow, one Joseph A. Carlucci Research Fellow, and one ASN Foundation for Kidney Research fellow in 2018.
The Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Award Program funds PhD students to conduct original, meritorious research projects. This program will foster early career-stage PhD students, under the direction of a sponsor, who are highly motivated to make contributions to the understanding of kidney biology and disease.
