The ASN Foundation for Kidney Research (ASN Foundation) is introducing a campaign that asks supporters to celebrate their pasts while directly supporting students, fellows, educators, and early-career investigators who are changing the future of kidney care.
Throughout March, in honor of National Kidney Month, World Kidney Day (March 14) and the Residency Match (March 15), the ASN Foundation is encouraging supporters to make any denomination donation and then post an old ID card with a photo or a photo from their training days or first position to either Twitter , Facebook , or Instagram using the hashtag #IDsofMarch. All IDs of March donations, up to $25,000 total, will be matched by the Foundation Board of Directors, meaning gifts will go twice as far. To further the impact, participants are urged to challenge friends, colleagues, students, and mentors to join the fun and post their flashback IDs.
The ASN Foundation stands committed to supporting talented students, fellows, and young faculty motivated by a passion to move nephrology forward. Through programs including the Career Development Grants Program and the Ben J. Lipps Research Fellowship Program, the ASN Foundation provides critical, early support to help keep brilliant investigators in the field and on track to make important discoveries.
