This year’s Kidney Week Education Committee and ASN staff are planning the first-ever hybrid Kidney Week to include in-person and virtual components. “Hybrid” can mean different things to different people, and ASN’s goal is to ensure a meaningful experience for every participant.
ASN’s annual meeting, Kidney Week, is the world’s largest and most dynamic meeting of kidney professionals, where participants share their work, learn about the latest advances in the field, develop new collaborations, and listen to provocative exchanges between leading experts. In a “normal” in-person year, Kidney Week reaches approximately 13,000 participants with 5,000 abstract submissions.
Due to COVID-19, Kidney Week 2020 was “reimagined” as a fully virtual event, under the leadership of the ASN President, Anupam Agarwal, MD, FASN, and Kidney Week Education Committee Co-Chairs, Linda F. Fried, MD, MPH, FASN, and Jon B. Klein, MD, PhD, FASN.
