CMMI Listening Session to be Held at ASN Communities Lounge

The Q&A format of the listening session offers participants a rare opportunity to engage directly with CMMI leaders and staff.

Do you have burning questions about the voluntary Kidney Care Choices (KCC) Model or mandatory ESRD Treatment Choices (ETC) Model? If so, please attend the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Innovation Center (CMMI) Kidney Models Listening Session at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Friday, November 3 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. ET or 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET. The event will be held in the Exhibit Hall at the ASN Communities Lounge.

By offering higher quality kidney care, the KCC Model aims to reduce the number of patients developing kidney failure, have fewer patients receive dialysis in dialysis centers, and increase the number of kidney transplants, so patients can live longer, healthier lives. The goal of ETC Model is for patients to have greater independence and flexibility by receiving home dialysis and have longer, healthier lives resulting from a kidney transplant.

The Q&A format of the listening session offers participants a rare opportunity to engage directly with CMMI leaders and staff; so please come ready with any questions regarding the recently released evaluation reports, model progress, general updates, and the future of the models.

We welcome and encourage any Kidney Week attendee to participate, including mandatory participants of the ESRD Treatment Choices (ETC) Model as well as voluntary participants from all four pathways of the Kidney Care Choices (KCC) Model. This includes the CMS Kidney Care First (KCF) Option, Comprehensive Kidney Care Contracting (CKCC) Graduated Option, CKCC Professional Option, and the CKCC Global Option.
