Nominations for ASN Midcareer Awards are Open

Nominations for ASN’s midcareer awards are open. These awards identify those who exemplify the very best in our field. Recognize your peers for their work in the fight against kidney disease.

To nominate a candidate, submit one letter of nomination and the nominee’s curriculum vitae (CV). Please note that ASN can only accept one nomination letter per candidate; however, the letter may have multiple signatories.

The deadline for all ASN midcareer awards nominations is through Friday, March 22, 2019.

  • The Distinguished Clinical Service Award recognizes individuals who combine the art of medicine with the skills demanded by the scientific body of knowledge in service to patients.
  • The Distinguished Educator Award honors individuals who have made substantial and meritorious contributions in clinical or research education as it relates to nephrology on both the local and national levels.
  • The Distinguished Leader Award recognizes leadership in any number of areas of medicine, including clinical, educational, research, or administrative efforts.
  • The Distinguished Mentor Award recognizes individuals who have made contributions to the kidney community through the mentorship and development of other clinicians or researchers.
  • The Distinguished Researcher Award recognizes individuals who have made substantial research contributions to the discipline of nephrology.

The ASN Strategic Plan establishes the goal to increase diversity – including age, experience, ethnicity, and gender – at all levels of the society, including ASN’s awards.
