ASN Communities Releases Mobile App for iOS and Android Users

By Susan Willner

All day long we’re using our smartphones. We’re checking email, getting weather updates, checking traffic conditions, and more. Mobile internet usage has already exceeded PC internet usage.[1] In the US alone, Flurry Analytics[2] reports that US users spend five hours a day in mobile apps – where 50% of the time is in “social, messaging, media and entertainment applications.”

Over half of the usage from ASN Communities originates from mobile devices, ASN is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the free ASN Communities App for both Apple iOS and Android devices. ASN members are using Communities to post, read, and reply to Community Discussions, connect with other ASN members, and further participate with the greater ASN community.

The new easy-to-navigate Communities App gives you the capability to post questions, reply to threads, and connect with colleagues in just a few taps. Once you’ve downloaded the app to your device and log in, your name will be at the top of the navigation. Under your profile, you will see Discussions, People, Inbox, Announcements, and a list of ASN Communities to which you subscribe.

It’s that easy.  Simply login to the App with your ASN user name and password and you can immediately start:

  • Reading the latest discussions from subscriptions in a single feed instead of having to navigate multiple feeds
  • Searching for colleagues in the directory and with one-click access, can add them to your personal contact list
  • Posting questions and thoughts to new or existing discussions
  • Finding the latest ASN news from Twitter
  • Checking the ASN Calendar of Events
  • And more
