khi may meeting.PNGThe Kidney Health Initiative (KHI), a public-private partnership between the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), advances its mission of facilitating innovation and patient safety in kidney disease through its collaborative partnerships with 90 organizations, working together in the largest collaborative body in the kidney community.

Registration is now open for the third webinar in the Nephrologists Transforming Dialysis Safety (NTDS) webinar series!

KHI will begin accepting new project proposals from the membership during its tenth submission cycle when the portal opens on Monday, March 19.

KHI members are encouraged to provide feedback as proposals are submitted via the online comment field. Please look for emails as new projects are submitted and check the portal regularly to provide feedback to the authors of the proposals.

Today, January 17, 2018, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) updated the Open Payments dataset to reflect changes to the data that took place since the last publication on June 30, 2017. The updated dataset is now available for viewing at https://openpaymentsdata.cms.gov/.

The goal of the ASN Kidney STARS program is to stimulate interest in nephrology careers by targeting medical students, residents, and graduate students with an interest in nephrology but who have not yet committed to applying to a fellowship. In addition to tailored events and networking opportunities, this program provides travel support, complimentary registration to attend the ASN Annual Meeting at Kidney Week, and complimentary membership to the society.
