KidneyX Patient Innovator Challenge: Kidney patients, care partners invited to submit ideas and innovations for national prize competition

The new prize competition seeks to identify ideas and solutions patients and care partners have developed to improve their daily life with kidney disease. The KidneyX Patient Innovator Challenge, funded by the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) invited individuals, communities, businesses, institutions, and not-for-profit organizations, among others, to submit ideas on how to improve therapeutic options and quality for life for people living with kidney disease.

Trump Administration announces first major transformation in kidney care in 50 years, Advancing the American Kidney Health Initiative

In the first major transformation in kidney care in almost 50 years, the Trump Administration today announced the Advancing the American Kidney Health initiative. The comprehensive kidney health strategy will bring sweeping changes to care for people with kidney diseases, including more choices for dialysis modalities, greater access to transplantation, and concerted support for development of innovative therapies, including artificial kidneys.

Breaking: HHS announcing rollout of new kidney strategy July 10th

Wednesday, July 10, the Trump administration will announce a new Department of Health and Human Services-wide (HHS) Comprehensive Kidney Care strategy. ASN and other kidney care groups have been working and meeting with Administration officials, including Secretary Alex M. Azar, II, all year providing input and recommendations for inclusion of in the new strategy.
