New cloud-based imaging platform saves time in the kidney transplant process

By ASN Staff

“The new platform, operated by Ambra Health, uses the cloud to make all imaging such as X-rays, CT, MRI, etc. available to all 80 transplant centers across the country in real-time.

It’s estimated that the platform saves those that coordinate kidney transplants upwards of 1,400 hours per year in labor. Additionally, the platform makes donor and recipient images available to all relevant medical staff in minutes, while it used to take at least 10 days to physically ship CDs with the images to each location”.
